About Sainik School Satara Alumni Association
Sainik School Satara, established on 23 June 1961 during the tenure of Shree Yashwantrao Chavan, the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra, holds a unique place in the educational landscape. Inaugurated by the Defence Minister of India, Shree VK Krish Menon, the school was founded with the aim of preparing Army officers from all walks of life. Since its inception, Sainik School Satara has played a pivotal role in shaping individuals who have gone on to contribute significantly to various sectors, ranging from Defence to Civil.
Being the first Sainik School, Sainik School Satara takes pride in its rich history and legacy. The alumni of the school, also known as AJINKYANS, have left an indelible mark in diverse fields, including bureaucrats, doctors, actors, engineers, journalists, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. The school's commitment to producing well-rounded individuals is evident in the numerous military leaders it has nurtured over the years.
Sainik School Satara has been instrumental in contributing to the building of India, and its impact extends beyond the realm of the armed forces. The school's alumni, known as AJINKYANS, derive their name from the famous fort Ajinkya Tara in the city of Satara, which stands unconquered. This historical reference symbolizes the resilience and strength instilled in every AJINKYAN.
As we actively work to create a space for Sainik School Satara alumni to connect and build a network, we invite all AJINKYANS to join the Old Students Association of Sainik School Satara. Through various events and initiatives, we aim to strengthen the bonds among alumni and further contribute to the growth and progress of our alma mater
